video, the nvidia, with the nvidia drivers. If it's of hep the xrandr
output shows: HDMI-1 disconnected, so it is seen but not activated. When
booting in Windows all works fine...

The behaviour of Huawei modems depends on the respective firmware and
may result in very different 'target modes'. These are the ones that can
be used with Linux AFAIK:
1. Ethernet mode (controlled via built-in web interface)
2. NCM mode (CDC NCM interface with 'hybrid' AT control)
3. Serial mode
Addendum:
The "official" switching message suggested by Huawei may bring up either
mode No.1 or mode No.2 in recent models. If No.1 shows up, there is a
possibility that the "HuaweiAltMode" message may bring up No.2 instead.

I installed zsh via terminal using 'sudo apt install zsh'. After that I
changed my shell from terminal 'chsh -s /usr/bin/zsh' then rebooted.
After that my terminal stucked here. Can't even list directory with 'ls'
command.
Also followed this tutorial but same result. No luck!

Have the same problem. Doing the "d-i base-installer/kernel/image string
linux-image-4.4.0-142-generic" in the preseed makes it complete the
installation, but we're getting other issues when we do that, like not
loading network-interfaces on some machine types..

I recently upgraded my laptop from cosmic to disco. After finishing the
upgrade, my Ubuntu i386 virtual machines (trusty, xenial, bionic,
cosmic) all fail to resume, with error code NS_ERROR_FAILURE
(0x80004005). x86-64 virtual machines are not affected.

The trivial update has troubles with the old path colliding.
Let modify that to use mv conffile - maybe I also need a tweak to properly
handle the new path changing from a DIR to a FILE as being a conffile would not
remove it by default on an upgrade.

Removing the background colour will remove the grey strip and give the
page a white background.
The entire page background is meant to be that light grey colour but the

Could be difference in the model - mine is with Ryzen 2500U. I'd say give it a
try if you are using/willing to switch to an arch based distro since Manjaro
seemed to work ok (though I just tried it for about 5 mins off a usb, suspend
and so on worked).

actually dont use any parameters for grub when it comes to the touchpad,
i found a better way to fix it.
create a bash script with:
modprobe -r i2c_hid
sleep 3;
modprobe i2c_hid
and run it with a systemd service at startup after lightdm.service
i8042.nopnp causes issues with suspend
