I'm affected with this issue on a Thinkpad T460P. My problem is slightly
different, though. I boot up my laptop while it is already docked, two
external screens are connected to the docking station. The display

I also have this problem on my ThinkPad T470p with Pro Dock 40A1.
When I power on my laptop with connected dock, it's fine. I can log in
and work smoothly. The problem occurs when I lock my screen. Computer

When notebook is in docking station the kernel crashes after bootup and logon
in GDM.
If notebook is in standalone mode without any external devices connected
everything works.
Tried to step back to Kernel 4.15.0-43-generic and everything works like
a charm.

Those files come from package 'ubuntu-session', so they are apparently
correct. Not related to this bug anyway.
My 18.04 desktop has those files but does not have this bug.
