If the policy is to wait for the release to be stable to update hplip, it means
that hplip will always be one release off and won't work on the latest release
until the changes are SRUed.

networkd dispatcher just starts scripts after network changes. I wonder
if the connection issues are causing the networkd-dispatcher issues.

logged in I get a black screen. It happens only with the proprietary
nvidia driver 390. If I remove the nvidia driver to use nouveau, it
works.

It gave me an error while doing a normal "apt upgrade" that automatically
upgraded the nvidia package to "nvidia-340 340.106-0ubuntu3"
Then it keeps repeating the problem at each upgrade request, and even when

Sadly no improvement with the upgraded xkb-data 2.24 from the ppa. Behavior is

When colord starts colord-sane spams the logs with a lot of SNMP stuff.
I spoke to the colord maintainers, and they found that:
chmod -x /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/colord-sane
stopped the spam, as you might expect.
The log messages look like this:

Thanks for letting us know. Then there is no reason to upgrade xkb-data
to deal with this bug, and since it's late in the cycle, I withdraw my
FFe request. Let's keep 2.23.1 in 18.10, and upgrade xkb-data next cycle
instead.
So we are back at square one as regards the cause of the issue, right?
