Updater crashes with screen as I reported earlier
"https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-
upgrader/+bug/1787383". Removed the kubuntu-backports PPA as recommended
by Brian, still the same problem.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04
Package: ubuntu
It's a LO bug. LO is exporting both traditional titlebar and gnome-shell
vertical appmenu (causing unknown application).
Gnome-shell appmenu should not be exported by unity-gtk3-module under
Unity.

- I have automatic security updates turned on, and I want to keep it that way
- I don't know of a way to pin the version of monit
- every morning my system upgrades monit to the bad version and I h

No, I just meant that the unpatched Trusty package isn't safe just
because it doesn't contain ytnef/ytnefprint binaries. You have it right,
the single patch you mention will be enough to address CVE-2017-9058. It

Since it appears that the problem is not my Xubuntu software setup (see
post #33), I thought that maybe it is my hardware setup, which is rather
old. So here is my hardware setup for you to consider:
Dell Inspiron 518 desktop (2008?)
Dell DG33M04/Foxconn G33M Motherboard
Intel G33 + ICH9 chipset

Public bug reported:
I think I came across this bug - https://sourceforge.net/p/opendmarc/tickets/72/
which seems to be fix in 1.2.1.
but the package in 14.04 is still 1.2.0
I still can't upgrade to 16.04, but until then can a new package be
build for 14.04 ?
