Michael, the patch file is at the top of my message. You have to save
that patch file to your computer (for example via a right-click: Save
Link As…). Then on your Terminal, you change the directory/folder to
that location (via the command cd, for example). Then, you can go for
that patch command.
The bug is technically in your code: as you never call clReleaseEvent
(waiting on an event doesn't release it), you leak an event object per
iteration. I suspect the beignet change exposed this bug by greatly
increasing the effective size of an event object, but don't yet know
how.

Actually it didn't get solved with 4.18-rc3, but rather works on some boots.

I haven't checked, but if MySQL was updated in 16.04 with a version that
doesn't support blank ports anymore, I think you should request
dbconfig-common to be updated in 16.04 also to not create configurations
with blank ports.

this is not a regression, I think we can start from building a test
kernel with CONFIG_TRACEPOINTS enabled.
As the error message states that:
The option CONFIG_TRACEPOINTS needs to be enabled in your kernel
configuration.
