Ok, are you sure that xfdesktop is emerged with the patch applied?
If so, I'd guess there is at least one file on the desktop, that wasn't
there on logout and therefore the icons are reordered on
can somebody confirm. that after logout from xfce. desktop configuration
file has correct data about icons position.. and this file changed on
xfdesktop init time? you need to disable login manager to access console
after logout to check configuration file.

I can confirm that desktop icons order resets. During relogin. As
mentioned by Yan Pas in Comment 8.
I do not use any graphical login manager. I start xfce by run startxfce4
from xinit script. I have only one rc file in ~/.config/xfce4/desktop
according to my screen size.
Problem does not occur:
Patch from #89 solve issue with desktop icons order reset for me.

Probably had 2 dozen or more suspend/wake cycles using the patch from
comment #53 under linux v4.4.6 and it xfce4 is behaving as it should
waking the monitor. If the patch as-is is grammatically correct, etc. I
would recommended applying it to xfce4-settings.

I've had good luck with the patch (thank you!) but still see one
problem. After my dual monitors turn back on, they are now in mirrored
mode instead of side-by-side as they were before they went to sleep.
Running `xfsettingsd --replace` after this restores the screens to their
proper setup.

The patch should be improved by reading/rest
Similarly I keep losing my configured resolution of 1280x720, with the
system defaulting back to 1920x1080 every time (which looks rubbish on
my crappy monitor).
Manually running "xfsettingsd --replace" is a workaround, but not ideal.
All progress though, it's still much better than rebooting ever
@Tigerwolf: The fact that your session *always* seems to be saved makes
your comment unrelated to this bugreport, which is only about
inconsistencies between the session setting and the action buttons.
I tested this explicitly and Andrzejr's patch seems to fix it indeed.

Just tested 5.4.4.2 (x64) in Win 7 environment. Opening an "old" file, printing
using FreePDF. Dots are still there, now short lines.
Using direct PDF exporting still results in dots, but now tiny small.

I did not play much with it, but yes, I cannot see the dots with LO 5.4.4.2 x64
on windows 10, viewing with Adobe.
With a document of mine the dots are not visible at zoom > 75% if the default
style line width is set bigger than 0.03 cm. With zoom < 75%

triggered by rename, one triggered by drag-and-drop.

I guess we need to combine them both. Perhaps someone with more

PS : I tried the "hwe" 16.04 kernel (which is the kernel from 17.10) and
it does not work either...

in any case someone faces the same problem, installing
bluez_5.46-0ubuntu3_amd64.deb from artful (together with libreadline7)
solved the problem for me.

Did the old patch work for you? I mean could you switch the layout
pressing Ctrl while combos like Ctrl-S also worked as expected?

As I commented earlier you may find where you program crashes, just add
SIGSEGV handler and export stack trace somewhere. I'm sure that there is
segfault, not stack overflow or call of exit function.

You may need to run the following from a terminal:
sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
Then re-install the package or updates.
If that does not resolve your issue, please mark the bug as "Confirmed"
