I have the problem that I cannot control the screen brightness on my XPS
15 9560 notebook.
/sys/class/backlight is empty. I'm running latest Dell BIOS firmware

I am having exactly the same problem on ubuntu 18.04. It started after I
installed fprint for the fingerprint reader, back on 16.04. I decided to
wait until I'd upgraded to 18.14 before trying to track it down.
I have reinstalled bluez to no avail.

I created Ubuntu 18.04 installer using Unetbootin to my Usb-drive,
started it and proceeded in installing, but itfails in the middle of
bootloader creation and stops there.
Expected results: Ubuntu 18.04 gets installed to my hard disk on
partition of its own.

Tried it on my machine, it does not solve the touchpad problems on Chuwi
Lapbook air, i think it has a different touchpad than what that fix
solves.

The apparmor mount test is failing because while testing mounting, it is
attempting to mount with the option MS_MANDLOCK and bionic's linux-kvm
kernel has CONFIG_MANDATORY_FILE_LOCKING disabled, causing the operation
