After a couple of sessions using Chromium with no flickering (and a long time
away from the laptop I'd reported the fault from), the flickering is again
evident on that same build of Budgie. Will test again from the latest daily

high channels at all.

in my Toshiba laptop

The installer worked all the way (I used 'Something else' and installed
into an old partition.)

but the problem is the same.
When I run "sudo pm-hibernate" the power LED flashes quickly, the screen
Photon, I've done some work to port shutter from VFS to GIO (The
dependency on VFS is the main trigger of shutter's removal from Debian.
Using gtk2 is less a problem).

Using the April 19th daily build of Kubuntu 18.04 I installed the Nvidia
drivers via the following command.
sudo ubuntu-drivers autoinstall
The install process proceeds fine and after a logout process I get a
black screen. I tried this on the April 17th daily build of bioni
Requested logs.
The failed first authentication is on Apr 21 11:05:28, immediatly after the
second attempt succeeds.
Before I logged in with the domain account I checked that networking of the
machine worked:
wbinfo -P and wbinfo -p both showed online, wbinfo -u displayed every user.

I had a quick look at the package difference between the artful version
and bionic version of gnome-menus. 80-file-monitor-delayed.patch has
been dropped.
This was always critical to ensure Unity (and budgie-desktop) menu
systems are updated after an apt based install.
