You need to create a custom script with +x (make executable)

I've found a more convenient workaround: the square does not appear at least on
SDDM if the new session was started not from X but from a TTY.
The command I use in TTY is
$ qdbus --system org.freedesktop.DisplayManager
/org/freedesktop/DisplayManager/Seat0
org.freedesktop.DisplayManager.Seat.Swit

It looks like that the Steam Installer is missing in GNOME Software even
after being manually installed by apt.

Thanks Mike. I appreciate the reply. The local version of openconnect
(which I had forgotten about) was causing the problem.

I thought it might be because 'WXXX' is for freeform url data, so I used
a more official frame 'WOAS'. The frame name wasn't munged, but the
value was:
$ mid3v2 --WOAS 'https://ubuntu.org' example.mp3
$ mid3v2 -l example.mp3
...
WOAS=[u'https://ubuntu.org']
and when using mutagen
Same here on Ubuntu Bionic with kwin-x11=4:5.12.3-0ubuntu2.
