Impact:
The upstream process for stable tree updates is quite similar
in scope to the Ubuntu SRU process, e.g., each patch has to
demonstrably fix a bug, and each patch is vetted by upstream
by originating either directly from a mainline/stable
After examining raw EDID data from 2 different LG TVs I can see that both of
them set bytes 21 and 22 of the EDID data in a wrong way.
They both state that the display size is 160x90 cm which in turn corresponds to
a approximately 72" diagonal.
So unity-settings-daemon does its job correctly and
FYI, the CVE was already fixed in 5.6.1-2ubuntu4.

- Fixed a regression, introduced in 390.12, that caused occasional
flicker when using the X driv
restarting my machine and disconnecting from the VPN made them work, so I
don't think it was snap Lxd or bionic at fault.
I'm not 100% sure if bionic and netplan play nicely with fan
configuration.

The change there seems buggy to me, warnings are useful to us for
debugging and usually don't contain private info (or are not more likely
to contain info that errors logs).

Although the VGA cable I used with the intel chipset was working fine
with other laptop/monitor telling me ihe cable is 'fine', it happen I
tried a different VGA cable and this time everything work fine.
So far I suppose it is a cable pin out problem
