Hi guys, everyone speaks about ubuntu 17.10 in combination with a Lenovo laptop.
I have Lenovo thinkpad E530 and use Xubuntu which is also affected.
USB devices cannot be used to install a new system.
Keyboard and mousepad dont work (internally also USB devices I guess).

It's working now. Previously I had uninstalled, but not purged, the
4.4.0-108 kernel. I purged the remains and reinstalled 4.4.0-109,
everything appears to be OK now running the new kerne

@evade - having this in the archive is kind of a comfort feature, but
for your case where e.g. the absolute sync of tools and host is so
important - can't you rely on the implicit availability of guest
additions via the host like in [1] ? If not what are the issue
4.4.0-73 has the same issue, so it's not an aws specific kernel issue
per se.

I've found appropriate solution for this problem (if you want to
continue use nvidia-340 driver):
- just install 4.9 kernel (or 4.14 if you need newer kernel) and problem
solved.
On kernel 4.9 nvidia-340 module build process passed without any
