Hi Lee,
since virt-manager has:
Recommends: libvirt-daemon-system (>= 1.2.7), gnome-icon-theme,

I just wanted to ask how you got into the case to not have it installed?
Same question already in comment #6

That is highly likely unrelated to the log messages we're talking about.
Please ensure your two issues have two different bug reports.

I can also confirm the bug on the following hardware configuration:
CPU Model - Skylkake (Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 5115 CPU @ 2.40GHz)
L0 and L1:
Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS
Kernel
If you change in /usr/share/upstart/sessions/upstart-event-bridge.conf
(Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS)
test -d /run/systemd/system && { stop; exit 0; }
to
test ! -d /run/systemd/system || { stop; exit 0; }
(like in applied patch) then error is gone.

Title:
[regression]
I can reproduce this consistently with one VGA and one HDMI monitor.
1) bring mouse pointer to VGA monitor
2) wait 4-5 seconds
3) bring mouse pointer to HDMI monitor, type ESC once or twice in a terminal
I tried fiddling with power management (`xset s off -dpms`) with no
change in behaviour.

Any chance we could patch this for bionic only? No need to wait for
libinput release 1.10. Just take the fixes that are in the master branch
already and backport.
That would avoid clashing with James using Debian. Actually in general I
think many more people will need the fix than the statu
