Due to this addon Firefox on Ubuntu cannot utilize web content

addendum: editing my gpg.conf to comment out the version-2-only options
appears to make deja-dup run correctly. this seems to be at least a
workaround, if not the complete solution.
it's regrettable that gnupg versions 1 and 2 use the same config file,
with options not being backwards compatible.
I was able to get the mousepad working with the last kernel you posted.
However, the touchscreen is not working. Mousepad shows up as "Elan Touchpad"
in xinput. Now missing "SYNA7300:00 06CB:177C" device that was the touchscreen.

FYI, I reported this bug upstream a few days after reporting it here,
and it has been fixed, but not released yet. It will be released in an
upcoming version of Subversion 1.9.x. It would be great if the fix could
be backported to 16.04. The fix is in these two commits:
