Semih, I'm not sure why slurm/sview/munge would have been installed on
your system. If you're not using them, they're safe to remove.

Upon reboot I am now unable to get-apt anything. update nada. I'm not
positive this is the cause as I am new to Linux but it happened while
installing this package among others. I know I am supposed to include
log files but not sure which ones or where to find them.

Public bug reported:
Running Ubuntu 17.04, have avahi-daemon 0.6.32-1ubuntu1 installed.
If I check syslog, every 5 - 10 seconds there is a set of messages like
message like:
Jun 15 20:53:01 dan-pc avahi-daemon[6673]: Registering new address record for
2001:1970:5ea2:c101:a899:2dfa:5a35:61fd on
I'm getting this same error now years later ...
* on my old Sony Vaio
* after upgrading from 16.04 to 17.04
dmesg shows:
[ 1181.128100] uvcvideo: Found UVC 1.00 device USB2.0 Camera (5986:02d3)
[ 1181.129834] uvcvideo: Failed to set UVC probe control : -32 (exp. 26).
[ 1181.130748] uvcvideo 1-1.
I think this is the option that you want to use to restrict the server
to a minimum protocol version:
https://www.samba.org/samba/docs/man/manpages-3/smb.conf.5.html#SERVERMINPROTOCOL
To fix this bug, the value would need to be "SMB2".

OK, well regardless, is there any simple way a user can find out the URL
for looking up their own crash reports?
Presently the only way I know is in Unity7: click "Show Previous Reports" which
