rm -Rf /var/lib/cloud /var/log/cloud*
will cause the SSH key to be reset, which is easily a bigger issue than getting
a cloud-init warning.

The workaround above worked for me:
1) add the wireless network using another protocol (LEAP)
the connection will fail
2) now go back and edit the connection, this uses a different dialog which
correctly gets focus
3) make sure you click "Don't

The "details" box cannot be enlarged and sometimes opens as a single line.
If it opens big, then it can be shrunk but not enlarged.
