Using Cascardo's kernel fixes the problem for me.
It was a bit of a hassle to install though because there's no linux-
headers-4.4.0-62_4.4.0-62.83_all.deb at the link and linux-headers-

@calexil that seems worth mentioning. The reason for me trying it is
only for confirming it is solved upstream. Yet, are there plans to

Thanks Juan, your fix seems to work actually!
I confirm the pointer speed is very high, but a "xinput -set-prop 11 281
-0.5" command solved the issue (281 stands for "libinput Accel Speed"
and 11 is the proper device i.e. "DLLC6B2:00 06CB:75BF Touchpad").

I receive an error message that instructed me to re-run "Package
Updater"
I did as instructed and received a number of additional messages in a
new window that was framed on the top in RE
I've just started to experience this issue. Tried uninstalling, purging,
reinstalling, no luck.
I didn't have it before, but then one day it started doing it and now I
can't use it anymore :-(
