Before trying the upstream kernel, I tried to replicate the issue. After
noticing it was happening every time there are heavy file I/O. I was
able to easily reproduce it at will by running apps that do lot of file

I did not have a special /boot directory in my partition table so boot
was part of the root (/) mount point. The root partition is on sdb1 if
that helps at all. When investigating this I did have the /boot/grub
directory, but was unabled to find the i386 directory in that tree.

This is a libvirt virtual machine that I've installed with ubuntu-vm-
builder on a 16.04 LTS host. The full command, if you're interested,

I tried the Ubuntu 12.10 with the rtbt driver, but the situation is the
same as with the 12.04: The BT V4 device can pair, but cannot transfer
files. Moreover the connection drops each 1-2 seconds, then reconnects.

In the end, I figured out the problem was actually to do with a squid
proxy, so can probably ignore my comment above.
