Good news! My (reworked) patches from comment #31 were finally accepted
into pulseaudio git. Autoswitch support for media.role=phone
applications will be in pulseaudio 10.0. And autoswitch support based on
heuristic will be in version after 10.0 (but disabled by default).

replace the cloud.cfg file with one of our format as I tried to keep
changes as minimal as possible, and the supplied one seems to work
sufficiently.

We need to be able to scale down to a fake mode. My laptop screen only runs at

As it currently stands grub2 cannot create grub.cfg menu entries that do not
use an initrd image if one is present but the user does not desire to use it.
Furthermore, root= entries only support UUID and LABEL, but neither is an
option if booting the kernel without an initrd
Regarding #2 in comment #8 - I found that we can more or less do this
with few simple modifications to SQUASHFS_DECOMP_MULTI. The config
options are upper bounds on the number of decompressors and data cache
blocks. I tested this with the mounted-fs-memory-checker for comparison,
limiting squashfs
Also seeing this problem on Dell PowerEdge with a xeon phi processor and
4.8 kernel on Ubuntu 16.10.

OK, I can see one big problem, the timeout command is being used to
SIGKILL stress-ng - that means all the child processes get SIGKILL'd and
hence abort without cleaning up. One ends up with a file system full of
garbage files which will cause subsequent tests to break.
I suggest:
1. Sending SIG
Ran apport-collect yesterday. It does not seem appropriate for me as the
submitter to change the status to "complete" as suggested above :)
