@Anupam: with OTA-12 you already have the fix for bug #1596329. The
other one will come with OTA-13. Until we know what the cause is though,
which many people have been trying to identify, it'll be very difficult
to make sure that it's fixed. I appreciate your patience as we try and
figure this out
I did the same, deleted the contents of ~/.local/share/gnome-software/ and it
worked for me too.
By the way, I also renamed the directory gnome-software and that worked as
well, a new dir called gnome-software was created during application startup.
It's a workaround but not a fix.

Dell replace the motherboard of my notebook (Latitude 3450), and

To make the shutdown work, I created a systemd service that will run
whenever the halt.target or the shutdown.target is to be reached. Since
I need to unbind the EHCI drivers, I named the service, naturally,
'unbind-ehci-drivers'.
