This issue persists in a fresh install of 16.04.1, Junaids' solution
with adding to the Remmina preferences does indeed solve the issue and
Remmina will start up.

I've resurrected https://code.launchpad.net/~saviq/ubuntu-settings-
components/packaging-cleanup/+merge/303110 to add autopkgtests and the
new package name.
I've also changed the bug supervisor to ~unity-ui-team, was that what
you meant by bug subscriber? Should we change to one of the linked ones
Works on Lenovo X230. Also the keyboard shortcuts on XFCE work again.
Thanks for fixing the long-term annoyance.
