Thank you for your interest and your time! I have just found the
solution thanks to the tip of another user! I have removed the battery
from my laptop and turned it on again. I suppose the BIOS needed to be
reseted... The important thing is that it worked!

I performed a do-release-upgrade on a digital ocean droplet running
trusty. The end result was a system in which systemd wasn't running but
every tool thought it was. Can't reboot, etc.
I get error messages such as:
:~# /sbin/reboot
Failed to start reboot.target: Connection
Same thing with me in 14.04. This is a pretty basic thing to be broken
for so long. Suggestions for work-arounds would be nice, since it
doesn't look fixing it is imminent.
Personally, I've tried a 2 grub rescue utilities, one from within one of
the partitions that will boot, and another from CD.

In short, yes. If you don't have a customised configuration
A fix would just have to be changing the apparmor profile that comes with the
tor package in Ubuntu.
I don't know how to do that, but I guess it would involve submitting a patch or
something. I'll try figure it out - it's such an easy fix, we just need someone
to put it into the repository.
