Just thought to add to this as after an upgrade from 14.04 to 16.04 I
experienced the same error with the scroll wheel. After much research
and considering a BIOS upgrade I rebooted and it is now working. Try
this before anything else, it may save you a lot of time.

Fernando, it is a normal update now. It was only a proposed update for a
few days so it could be tested first to make sure it fixed bugs and
didn't make things worse. The fix is also included in Ubuntu 16.04

Need to make a Libertine Manager Click package that is the UI. It needs

1. Be as confined as possible.
2. A custom framework to filter updating from the Store based on devices
running stable vs. rc-proposed.
