confined.
It might be OK to just implement grabs, always hide the cursor then and
leave it up to the client (which in the case of a VM might draw its own

I have killed the fwupd, but bellow command returns no output. I have
checked and there is no x86_64-linux-gnu subdirectory.
Just in case if you have overlooked I have 32-bit PC (see my first post
in bug report).

So as I haven't really messed with power monitoring, I discovered upower
--monitor-detail.
After having been unplugged for a few minutes the below state change
occurred. I'm open to advice on how to continue looking into this. My
first guess is to open the upower sources to see where it's gettin
I think this is causing critical bug 1537389. Although it might be Mir
itself failing to VT switch.

I've run these tests now for 24 hours w/o issue on the original kernel
and on my 'fixed' kernel, with no issues in either, so I'm unable to
reproduce this issue. Are there any specific configuration options on
your H/W that I need to try and duplicate as maybe my configuration is
not able to trip
Comment #5 agrees with bug 1589550, and they might explain how Mir might
be hung on startup. QtMir only waits 10 seconds before giving up and
committing suicide so if we're blocked by being on the wrong VT that
could explain everything...

Some data to take into consideration. I've tested 4 difference configs
(3 laptops, 1 server) of mixed Intel and AMD hardware, comparing the
default powersave/ondemand [1] vs performance
[1] depends on CPU and if intel-pstate is supported
For faster modern Intel CPUs where intel-pstate is support
