I have just confirmed using Paragon Hard Disk Manager 15 that both the disk
I am installing Linux onto and my main drive are Basic MBR Hard Drives. My
other drives are all GPT but they are solely Windows drives and therefore
have no effect on the install.

The system was running ubuntu 12.04 without any problems, quite fast and
definitly worth keeping, I was able to play 3D games at decent quality
while using official nvidia drivers. Overall a pretty stable system
based on an Intel 965 Chipset and a Geforce 7600.

problem occurs. I think the problem lies with the file manager having
problems handling the cdda file format, but I am not sure of it. If the

Same problem on Mint 17.3 Cinnamon x64. The setup finish correctly (it
seems). But when the new system is booted if you want to restart or
shutdown you cant, the system freeze after some error during shutting
down operations.
