system that had no bootloader. I have other disks with earlier Ubuntu

I'm getting this with 15.10 and 16.04 (post update). I've had it happen
on two separate machines with a fresh install of 15.10, one of which had
an NVidia 870, but the other did not (older Dell XPS 15). After reading
a few related bugs, I'm abale to work around this without going into
recovery mode
The Unity issue is bug 1553165.
It doesn't seem immediately obvious that gnome-software should inhibit
suspend - if you use other methods to install (e.g. from the command
line) these wont stop a suspend from occurring. Downgrading priority due
to this.

I've removed /etc/mysql completely now and this is what I get:
