BTW Thanks for looking at this. I appreciate it. Alas kernel 4.3-rc5 doesn't
fix it. Things were a little different though. When I booted rc5, the 'Starting
version 219' showed straight away and in a few seconds the screen went blank,
the TV tuner powered off and everything hung. I waite
Trivially reproduces on e. g. the cloud images, but for completeness:

@Stephen: I had the same problem after today's upgrade.
Activating the proposed repository and upgrading lxc to version
1.0.7-0ubuntu0.9 fixed the issue for me.
See comment #11 for details.
But it's a shame this proposed fix was not released to everyone before
the new kernel.

instance method of the fetcher but rather a global helper. This causes early
unhandled exceptions entirely defuncing the fetcher rendering upgrades with the

Hello,
The following recent kernel update completely break our lxc-start usage on
precise both with precise original kernel 3.2 + also the trusty-lts-stack using
3.13
After installing those new kernel updates all lxc-start of a container fail
with:
"Permission denied - mou
I'm expediting the usual 7 day maturing period; this is a rather grave
regression and apparently the new kernel didn't get around to add a
