Seems a little extreme to disable all crash reporting. Why not disable
it for Unity8, that seems to be the one that everyone is worried about.
We have no other way to judge quality in the field, so it would be a
real shame to loose the only feedback we have on real use-cases.

The error message "dnsmasq: failed to create listening socket for
0.0.0.0: Address already in use" doesn't explain which port number it
refers to. In case it's an OS message it needs to be catched and
enhanced with necessary information (in order to get any use of the
message)
While testing silo 41, there was no delay, there were some crashes and
system settings couldn't be opened at all through indicators.

I wasn't affected by this bug in Ubuntu environment, I'm using my own
distribution built with OpenEmbedded, I've only reported it here as
"upstream" python-tz.
The diff applied here is the same as what I'm using (only slightly
extended to cover zone.tab as well), so I believe the bug is fixed in

Ubuntu using an older version of the installation media. The latest
point release of 14.04 is 14.04.3. Please try installing from that
