Then I upgraded to the latest Trusty version(14.04.3) and updated the kernel
too (Linux 3.19.0-30-generic) and kernel panic occured.

The kernel provided in comment #35 also choked with multiple
stacktraces. I have been running 4.3-rc3 since Sept 29 with good
results. I have only seen a stacktrace when closing the lid on my
laptop, which I suppose puts it into some kind of hibernation.

Programs launching from top on occasions when being unminimiz
In the MP to fix bug #1406972 I dropped a pair compared to
the previous contents. Maybe that's what causing this issue.
Even if I don't know how to preview the slideshow, I prepared a new MP
which reinserts that pair. Hopefully it's sufficient to fix
it.
