I like that Firefox tells you about this, but I don't think this should
be a non-overrideable error. This type of error should fall into the
same bucket as self-signed certificates: "Hey, we don't trust this
because of X. Are you sure you want to continue?"

My situation is more or less the following: On my laptop I have several
virtual machines (usually 1 or 2 running at the same time) to have
different versions of Ubuntu handy and also to test network printing use
cases using only one physical machine, both for development of the
printing part of Ubu
Replaced Samsung SSD with original HDD. Did fresh install of Ubuntu
14.04.3, installed all updates, including kernel 3.19.0-28-generic.
Laptop hibernates- sort of.
After entering " sudo pm-hibernate " Data is written to disk, screen
goes blank and laptop becomes unresponsive.

I have experienced the same bug on multiple brands of NIC hardware both
wired and wireless. Observing the live log, it always occurs 30 minutes
after boot. My DHCP server renews leases after an hour so I did not see
a correlation with the network configuration.
