trying to overwrite '/usr/
lp:~dandrader/qtubuntu/resizeCatchUp solves the problem we have
currently that by symply rotating an app from portrait to landscape (or
vice-versa) you can get the app stretched. Because it didn't consume
enough buffers to reach the first one with the new size that was
promised on the ResizeEvent
Note that the symptoms have changed slightly since this bug was
originally reported.

latest release, or 14.04 for the LTS. If you still have the same

I install vivid and tried to download some packages (for an upgrade to
wily). After initial successs download slowed and pings to google.com
were equally 1000ms. Other computers on my network for pings of 30ms.

To be clear, what I suggested was to use the height and width unchanged
rather than multiplying by 4: that would improve the quality over the
current code while not blowing out the memory requirements of providing
huge images.
As a longer term solution to get images of the required quality, I

I am seeing the same behaviour with Ubuntu 14.04.3, Kernel
3.19.0-26-generic, x86_64, as soon as I mark some text in Writer and
copy it to the clipboard. Sometimes, I cannot switch to the console at
all, sometimes I can. In either case, I need to hard-shutdown the
machine.
In all cases, I can find
