were both stymied trying to find the syslog--this fix would be really
really helpful for basic debugging. IIRC I was on arale shortly before
OTA-5.

If you originally got an error message about unmet dependencies it might

Well, KDE5 is buggy and has a lot of regressions which are not getting fixed
for months.
Probably a "walkaround" would be downgrade of KDE to stable KDE 4.*.
It's a shame, that Kubuntu took this not-ready-kde5 as replacement for
KDE4 in mainstream.

Problem persists until today, first solution by Andrei works (add "load-
module module-switch-on-connect" in /etc/pulse/default.pa).
Let me just add that I had to reboot the system for the changes to take
effect.
I'd also suggest to ubuntu to add the line by default.

I might be wrong, but I don't believe this is wpa-supplicant-related,
because there were reports of being able to connect manually with wpa-
supplicant, from CLI. So it is most likely NetworkMan
