I'm getting the same message about this being a binaries only build.
This package appears to be a binaries-only package
you will not be able to build against kernel 3.19.0-13-generic
since the package source was not provided

Given the fact that your testing showed that having the latest NEdit
version doesn't help this specific issue, I tend to only go for the
solution that Graham suggested: the depends/recommends field.

black apart from pidgin, thunderbird, firefox, conky and trayer are

upgrade from 14.04LTS to 14.10 through GUI proposal "Install new version".
Problem during install, sysv-rc didn't update then all dependencies fails to
upgrade and all processes ask for root password to execute.

I don't understand this problem. Package version 1.0 installs OK. As
soon as I do dch -i and change version it never installs again saying
there is no source code. It is too hard for me.
