I'm confused at this point as to the original error since I have upgraded to
Ubuntu 14.04 (from 12.04) and removed postgresql.

On your PC run:-
sudo tail -f /var/log/syslog
Then plug phone in. This is what I see (on my 15.04 thinkpad).

FWIW I was seeing something that sounds very similar on F22:

but it *seems* to have gone away with systemd-219-11.fc22, which is

Strage behaviour... I could pair my mobile to the FORD audio system with
* hcitool scan
* bluez-simple-agent hci0
and both devices report "connected" state.
But I could not activate/use my mobile.
