Something wants to switch to vt7 I think. SDDM is currently starting on
vt1. Probably SDDM should be moved to vt7.

Two times already during systemd packages upgrade my screen has been
replaced by plymouth. I'm not sure exactly what caused this problem but
here is packages list from last upgrade when this happend:
$ sudo apt full-upgrade

in an effort to sllow down firefox crashes, and to get flash plug-in
installer working again, I used a downloaded firefox and installed into
/opt. Perhaps the installer would have worked looking for firefox-old or
if I had guidance to change back to the original Ubuntu firefox

I didn't test hibernate (I didn't think of it). I have test now with my actual
kernel and with the two mainline kernels. Here are the results of pm-hibernate:
Current 3.13.0-46-lowlatency:
- it works perfectly. No strange behaviour observed. So it can be used as a
Workaroun
