current upstream LXC and a precise privileged container.
I'll upload a straight cherry-pick of the mounted-dev.conf job as we
have it nowadays (I confirmed that fixes it here).

I checked the link that Philip gave and the patch at the beginning
worked for 14.04 when I recompiled the nis package from source. My users
can finally change their passwords! The patch is
