was removed upstream (see https://lists.debian.org/debian-
user/2014/06/msg01224.html) due to openais no longer being part of the
system - and oracle have yet to update the ocfs2-tools package to
provide a non-openais version.
To keep r8192ee from loading, add a blacklist line for r8192ee in
/etc/modprobe.d/50-blacklist.conf. We were careful in the naming so that
the staging driver has a different name that the regular kernel one

really needs to work BEFORE you log in as well.

The last test of the previous comment seems to imply, that we get the unwanted
suspending only, if light-locker locks the screen *while* the lid is closed.
Heres a test to verify this and takes xfpm out of the whole mess (on utopic):

Probably this is happening because of the GPU passing from a cold state

System locked up at exactly 5pm on 19 Jan. Could not find
[drm:i915_hangcheck_elapsed] *ERROR* Hangcheck timer elapsed... render
ring idle anywhere in today's log. Output of dmesg is attached. Still
running 3.19.0-031900rc5-generic kernel.

I was trying to use kstart to start three programs in three different desktops
after login, like this:
kstart --desktop 1 firefox
kstart --desktop 2 kmail
kstart --desktop 3 konsole
After (apparently) executing the script, the system hung solidly. I tried this

Its back have the same issue in 14.10 with xfce + kwin
Stock Ubuntu 14.10
installed xfce and kwin and now cannot change workspace count at all
with workspace settings

When I try to use kstart I get this message, and the application opens
on the wrong desktop even though I've used the "--desktop" parameter.
Since I can't use kstart without getting this message, I don't know if
the kstart problem is related or not.

I'm on 3.19.0-031900rc3.201501060135 also for the past several days and
haven't experienced any lockups. So far, so good.
Is there a way to add the mainline kernel as a true PPA so that we get
updates automatically?

@superquad-vortex2: This is my personal laptop; if there is ever any
other user logged in, it is me via the text console. I suspect the log
you've pasted above is showing old stale sessions. I've rebooted now to
add a kernel update, so I can gather any information about the working
state you need
