Oops.
In my comment :

i say that I'm now using Utopic.
For sure I should have opened a new bug ? (Very sorry if it's the case.)
The Utopic's current linux-firmware 1.138 includes -7, -8 and -9
versions of iwlwifi's

were using Utopic was taken into consideration when I made my
comment/updates.
Hence, you wouldn't need to create an additional bug report about this
problem unless specifically asked by a developer/triager.

but it is very frustrating that this appeared at all. I was staying with

Right. Testing from a 14.10 installation image, I get a very similar
menu (attached) to the 14.04 one. So I think this bug exists at least
up to 14.10. My running 14.04 LTS system was first installed as 9.10,
which I think may have predated Unity, and I've installed fvwm2 at some
point. I don't
I have the same problem on the Kubuntu. Now I installed Ubuntu and anything
was working but later I installed kde and now both gnome and kde have the
problem of the pointer disappearing (expect in same area like the bar or some
windows).
What is going on?
