There are no ways to optimize directory enumeration so long as GVFS
hides the directory behind CUSE. "Local" filesystems cannot be polled,
VLC will get stuck in kernel space for however long it takes GVFS to
generate a result.
The only way to fix this on VLC side is to supply the SMB URL instead.

I have finally upgraded to trusty: no more systrays.
In consequence, I am sadly back to tomboy, which does have a well
integrated indicator.
Only workaround so far: Install tomboy, manually import every note,
remove gnote

After setting the 4-digit passcode on the first run, the user encounters
she needs to type the passcode with the normal qwerty keyboard instead
every time when unlocking the phone, instead of the easy passcode
entering.
Reproduced once again after flashing my mako with --boot
They are different values, so it could definitely be that your headset
volume is not at a warning level.
But, the flip side is should we always show a notification in the case
that we plug in a headset? It seems that might be useful as feedback
that the audio state has changed.

I'm attaching a workaround-like bugfix for this bug.
This emits a shell-notify notification even if there was no connection
to the `org.gnome.Shell` thus making the `nm-applet` to register itself
as a secrets agent.
