going blank, hence xfpm can do nothing about it. Are you maybe using
XScreenSaver? If so, that app uses separate settings that cannot be
modified by xfpm.

After a lot of testing, I think I've found the cause - when lightdm
starts the session init, logind is supposed to setup the cgroups. But
that isn't happening.
Normally, logind would do that by asking systemd, but in our case it
talks to systemd-shim. sytemd-shim then asks cgmanager to create the

dbus-send /com/canonical/unity/scopes
com.canonical.unity.scopes.InvalidateResults string:clickscope
The updater should do the same after each app is updated, so the scope
