This may be covered from before. I have purged PPAs and hopefully have
"fixed" issues with xorg. Attempted to upgrade from muon update manager
which did not initialize the update. Switched to terminal. Ran the
following:

In the syslog i do not see any DENIED log. I think apparmor in complain mode

the SOLUTION.
The reason "aplay" is called, is because it is used to enumerate sound cards,
(with the -l argument as in "aplay -l"), by ubuntu-drivers, to find ye-old
software modems.

ubuntu-drivers-common which Kubuntu runs at startup, through the
