As a little clarification on the above subject, this effect happened when I
invoked the console mode (Ctrl-Shift-J) and then tried to emulate a web page
on a mobile emulator already available on this console environment of Chrome.
It's clear that the emulation mode is ON (the 5 mm diam. black do

Mako running 148
Initiated an update of the dekko app then left the update page
Indicator showed the download with the unknown label
Eventually the totals went crazy, I do not think the download was active
Then the download was reported to be failed.

In my error logs when I run "pidgin -mm" I can see following
warnings
