Last news was 2011 with the release in October. Nothing since. Is it
still appropriate to keep this in the repositories? Is it abandoned?
I don't use the package myself but was made aware of this by a question
posted by a user on Launchpad.ne
I've also been having this issue since updating from 13.10 to 14.04.
There seemed to be about a 20% chance that the VPN client would work
correctly each time I invoked it, which led to frustrating repeated
invocations hoping to get lucky.
The one line hack from comment #34 appears to have made it

I upgraded the unity package using "sudo apt-get --only-upgrade install
unity" (with trusty-proposed source enabled) and restarted the system.
The fix passes TEST CASE mentioned. The bug is now fixed! Thank you.

The touchpad is not recognized.
The "psmouse.proto=bare" hotfix does not work.
The "i8042.noaux i8042.reset" does not work, even though the touchpad would
work in PS2 compat mode (under Win7).
The FN keys are not working at all, probably due to some strange ACPI
decode error

should print a localized date. And the motd pam.d is run after the pam

Something odd has happened to this phone. I have now reverted all the

Same issue with freeze after desktop deletes - now I am also seeing that
if I delete, wait for the freeze, moving to a new desktop hangs in

Yes, moving the drive that was on the PCI-X controller to the main board
solved the problem. Does this mean that a driver disappeared between
the -60 and -64 kernels? Or is it that somehow the driver is just not
available on boot?
Any thoughts on how to correct this?

Thanks Michał - your steps to recreate the issue helped me track down
the cause :-)
Essentially, any job containing 'initctl unset-env' or 'initctl unset-
env --global' in any process stanza (post-stop, pre-start, etc) will
trigger the issue when that job is restarted.
Note that the problem is no
Enabled debugging by adding -d to /etc/init/bluetooth.conf
But I don't understand what exactly is going on and why it fails.
I stripped pid, date (except secs) and hostname from log.

gcc48, gcc49: vect-nop-move.c fails on powerpc64
I am experiencing this as well; same macbook pro (11,1) as Julien.
I experience many occurrences of this in /var/log/syslog:
