I wonder how the check was made, because I did confirm the MD5 sum of the iso
matched the provided one.
I installed from a pendrive.
A second attempt using the same media (but never hitting the "back"
button) succeeded. See the attached picture showing the error when the

14.04 kernel 3.13.0-24-generic and nfs-kernel-server kworker results in
1 core on 100% (i3 CPU);
remove 3.13.0-24-generic (downgrade to 3.11.0-19-generic from 13.10) -
OR - stop/remove nfs-kernel-server fixes it.

Here is a little workaround for the time being.
Put this is ~/.local/share/applications/ and set exec bit (chmod +x).
Restart nautilus (kill and start again), and Media Player (CLI) should be added
to the list of available applications. This is only a workaround and does not
fix the problem at al

I have been happily using 3.11.0-19 since upgrading to 14.04 LTS. Over
the weekend I allowed the system to update to 3.13.0-24. While my
laptop is undocked, the display works find (built in display). When I
dock the laptop into the port-replicator which has 2 monitors attac
