another package installed that conflicts with the contents of xubuntu-
artwork. Upon removing the package backbox-artwork you should be able to

I'm also affected by this annoying bug. I am on 13.10 64-Bit and the sound
volume of my pulseaudio is on 100% after reboot. I have an Intel on Board
soundcard connect to my AV-Receiver via SPDIF.

I found the dconf property to configure (for those who don't want to use
ibus-setup or want to fix this distro-scale).
Open dconf-editor and open the desktop.ibus.general folder. Make sure

I tried reinstalling grub-pc and it reports that there is a problem with
GRUB drive:
grub-probe: error: cannot find a GRUB drive for /dev/mapper/[redacted].
Check your device.map.
For this I could reinstall the system using the installer, however that
