mainline kernel for trusty (which at this time is

behaves the same (except that it is not compatible with nvidia drivers
from xorg edgers so i can't test if
jeremy-list's suggestion works --- for me, step 2. could be replaced by
`dconf reset -f /desktop/ibus/engine/pinyin` so that it only resets the
pinyin engine settings.

I also have this issue; that I have no interaction with keyboard to type
password ater the screen is locked from time-out. But for me this always

After upgrading to Ubuntu 14.04 update-manager asked me if I wanted to
keep my old lightdm.conf or replace it with a new one, and becuase I did
had issues with lightDM, I did choose to replace it, since then this
issue hasen't appeared anymore and LightDM seems to work fine. :-)

This never happened in 12.04 and seems pretty random per logout/login in
14.04. The actual bug is not about focus and raise settings, other
settings or at the very least custom keyboard shortcuts are lost, too.
