I think that's a misunderstandng:
To get the card reader working I have used both so far:
libccid *and* the Kobil-Driver together. (I need a libct.so for Hibiscus from
the Kobil-driver which in turn uses libccid)
Until raring this worked for both, 32 and 64Bit-Systems
Now it doesn't work anymore
I think my issue is related, and I'll open a new bug if necessary, but
pulse thinks that my headphones are forever plugged in. It randomly
goes back to normal. Also, "Sound" only displays either "Speakers
Built-in Audio" or "Headphones Built-in Audio", never both when both are
plugged in.

That issue is wierd, it seems my partition tables were somehow corrupted (on
both disks at the same time, wtf?), but not completely (I could still boot
windows, even install windows again, and I couls see all partitions in GParted
and create new ones with no problem or error whatsoever).
