The 12.04 and 12.04.1 images use the same basic kernel and X-stack
(other than bug fixes and security updates) so I suspect you're dealing
with an additional issue. You should first of all rule out a bad
disc/USB (depending on which you're using to install) by entering the
advanced boot
That does sound like a bug in libbluray to me - more like a bug in apt
that got the order wrong or configured the package again although it was
already installed. Could you please provide us with more information?

I had a similar result trying to install on a VirtualBox VM. If I
remove the virtual CD before rebooth it produeced an error message but
locked up before I could hit file bug report. If I let it run it
crashed on shutting down the installation boot.

Monitor 3: 1024 x 768
In Ubuntu 14.04 (alpha), I'm now able to achieve these resolutions:
1440 x 900 - Laptop's Native Monitor
1920 x 1080 - Laptop's HDMI Port's External Monitor
1024 x 768 - SIIG USB 2.0 to VGA Pro Monitor
If I go any higher with the SIIG, it will corrupt one of the other
monitors ability to display
Updated and rebooted and all seems okay now.

I'm experiencing the same behavior as above. I'm using Ubuntu 13.10 and
the 3.13 mainline kernel.
I was able to find a workaround that let me control the backlight
brightness through the applet.
Create /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf with the following:

I'm sorry, but what would "Accent Orange" be? For the pallete at the
bottom the named colors go from "maroon" to "fuchsia" and then are

I get lots of hard reboots when the xserver is supposed to do "something"
(that's why I call it random), especially when scrolling a pdf (2-4 scrolls
will suffice). For example
