Chris, your proposal is not a solution but a workaround. Alternative
workarounds are to use an old version of Ubuntu or Windows 7 which shows

@Aleksei I'm afraid messing around with timers is not a valid approach
(the timings vary too much with differing setups). Martin is working on
a new feature for kwin that will allow this to be solved properly (and I
believe plans to backport it to KDE 4).

When my phone returns from suspend mode while I'm using the stock Touch
Facebook app, often the OSK doesn't re-appear when selecting text
fields. This seems to be more prevalent when the phone is suspended for
