I tried opening my ps and eps files with evince first. It did not work
properly. The problem is the same. The file opens when rotated by +90
deg ( ctrl+ right ) or -90 deg ( ctrl+ left ) but not otherwise. So I
thought to try out alternative applications like qpdfview.

Not sure which errors are gone now. The line related to drm and vmwgfx are like
the previous no blacklisting and no setting fbdev dmesg to me. Again repeating
the resolution and FIFO line and not replacing the framebuffer.
How the user-space tools would influence the kernel boot I cannot explain.

As I already reported, the system becomes more and more stable since I used

Sorry folks, this is a problem in pavucontrol and the weird way it uses
gtk. I tried to fix this before, didn't really work out. The better way
would be to work on pavucontrol's UI, but I don't have time for that
now...

Someone should start fixing this bug, I tested latest Ubuntu 14.04 live iso and
the bug still exists.
I reproduced the bug by opening dash, draging app icon above search bar so the
launcher hides, and droping it on the desktop.

First, change the click_object for a move_to_object and pdb.set_trace. At this
point, try to do the click yourself without moving the pointer. Does it expand?
