For me this is still an issue (on the stable 13.10), but (un)fortunately
I have no idea how to reproduce it or what factors (do not) contribute
to it.
So far, I seem to have found:
- the version of nvidia-drivers or the use of nouveau is irrelevant
- in Gnome, I have the impression that a freeze

In case any one else comes across this problem: I had exactly the same
symptoms and found out they were caused by xbindkeys that was started in
the background. Removing my .xbindkeysrc solved the problem for me.

Media keys not
Before this firmware upgrade, bluetooth was OK. Now, I can't use
bluetooth anymore (Intel 7260 chipset provides both Wifi and Bluetooth.
On my computer at least). I'm not sure the problem is related, I need to
test it furthermore.

Thanks; seems the chromebook kernel keyboard driver isn't sending scan
codes along, but the actual key codes seem correct (F1 to F10) *if* they
are actually F keys. If they are supposed to do something else, then the
kernel needs to be fixed first to report proper scan codes.

The Issue is still affecting 13.04 and 13.10. Its my main PC so I don't
really want to move it to a development version of Ubuntu. Its not got
fixed in 3 releases so I am not hopefully its been fixed upstream in the
last couple of months. I can just about tolerate it using the F Keys to
switch back

script (but use the existing tests/hello_color.py for simplicity). With

it seems that the "unpredictable" brightness level change was caused by the
slow response to brightness control of this system.
Also, it works fine on 3.5.0-44
